This litter is sired by my Ch. Interlude's Bavarian Hummel (Jack) and is out of Ch. Jubri's String of Pearls (Pearl). We hope that this entire litter may be show quality, but won't know for a few weeks. Please watch this website for pictures & updates (hopefully soon).

It is with deep sorrow, that I make this mention. This morning on November 7, 2002, Ch. Jubri's String Of Pearls passed over the Rainbow Bridge.

She had her puppies on October 23, 2002, and everything seemed fine. About 3 days later, she started to act sick. After many vet visits and no idea of what was wrong, an exploratory surgery was done.

She had somehow ingested some small bone fragments. One of those fragments perforated her large intestine which caused a massive infection. The doctor removed 1 foot of her intestine and the remaining fragments, however, the infection had taken its toll and this morning she succumbed and took her last breath.

Judy and Jack Brissey, her owners, are devastated with the loss of Pearl under such unpredictable circumstances. Their vet bills are in the thousands. They are left with four orphaned puppies.

When we breed our boxers, we may worry about a C-Section in the back of our minds, but who of us anticipates losing the bitch. I, for one, do not run out in the fenced yard every day before I let out my dogs to make certain there is no small dead animal that they may devour. Pearl's death reminds me how fragile life is and how easily a peculiar circumstance can take it away.

All four of these pups have been placed in show homes. I would love to finish all four of these babies to their championships so that Pearl would become a DOM.

To explain what I mean by Show Hopeful:

Right now they look really good for their age, but they are way too little and young to tell for sure (D.O.B. 10-23-02). I watch them closely between now and 8 weeks of age. Any part of them may grow apart from what the breed standard calls for in the anatomically correct boxer. If that happens, they become a pet puppy. As it costs approximately $5-10,000 per year to show and campaign a show dog, I am extremely critical. To keep costs down, I show my own dogs with no handling fees.

If you are interested in a pup as a show pup, please contact me soon to be added to the waiting list for that puppy, should he/she hold to conformation breed standards.

Interviews will be set up when they are about 4-5 weeks of age as I cannot determine the alpha/omega characteristics any earlier. Then Judy will try to match families with each pup to be sure that each placement will be for the dog's lifetime.

My schedule is as follows: I work Monday-Friday and get home around 5:15. I train my dogs on Wednesday evening and teach a conformation class on Thursday evening. Most of my weekends are committed to shows. I try to check email daily even when I am away at a dog show.

I will try to update these photos weekly. Please check this site for updates and status changes. Thanks for being interested in our very special and much loved babies!
